Save a webpage as an image.
Chrome can save a page as HTML or print it to PDF, but neither gives you a faithful picture of what the page actually looked like. A screenshot does. Here is how to turn any webpage into a PNG, WebP or PDF image, including the parts below the fold.

Three ways to save a page
Pick the output you actually need.
Printing a webpage re-flows it for paper, and “Save page as” keeps code rather than a picture. These methods keep the page as it looked on screen.
Print → Save as PDF
- Press Ctrl + P or Command + P.
- Choose Save as PDF.
Useful for text, but the layout is re-flowed for paper and often differs from what you see on screen.
Capture → PNG, WebP or PDF
- Choose Full Page, Responsive, Visible Screen or Select Area.
- Capture the page; it opens in the local editor.
- Crop, annotate or blur if needed.
- Download PNG or WebP, copy the image, or export a PDF with Pro.
Formats
PNG, WebP or PDF: which should you choose?
All three are produced locally in your browser. Normal capture, editing and export do not upload the screenshot to RATdeck.
PNG
Lossless and universally supported. Best for UI, text and sharp edges, and for pasting into tickets and docs.
WebP
Much smaller files at high quality. Good for archiving many captures or sharing where size matters.
PDF (Pro)
Best for sending a long page or several screenshots as one document. Long captures are split across readable pages.
Copy Image
No file at all: copy the finished screenshot to the clipboard and paste it into chat, email or docs. Unlimited on Free.
Mobile layout
Use Responsive capture to save how the page looks at phone, tablet, laptop and desktop widths.
Just one section
Use Select Area (Pro) to save only the chart, table or section you need instead of the whole page.

How do I save a whole webpage as an image in Chrome?
Use a full-page screenshot. In Capture choose Full Page, start the capture and download the stitched result as PNG or WebP, or copy it to the clipboard. Chrome DevTools can also save a full-size PNG with the Capture full size screenshot command.
How do I save a webpage as a PNG?
Capture the page with Capture’s Full Page mode and choose Download PNG. Free includes 10 combined PNG/WebP downloads per UTC day plus unlimited Copy Image; Pro makes downloads unlimited.
Can I save a webpage as a JPG?
Capture exports PNG and WebP images (and PDF with Pro). If you specifically need JPG, save as PNG and convert it with your operating system’s image viewer or editor.
