Privacy summary

Capture is designed so normal screenshot capture, stitching, annotation, crop, blur, pixelate, comparison, local projects and local exports can happen on your device. Those workflows do not require uploading the screenshot image to RATdeck just to process it.

Screenshot and webpage content

Capture processes screenshot pixels and annotation data inside the Chrome extension for normal capture/edit workflows. We do not need to receive your screenshot image to provide local capture, annotation, comparison, project storage or export.

If Capture later introduces an optional feature that requires sending screenshot content to a server or AI provider, that feature should be separately disclosed before content is transmitted and should not silently change the behavior of local capture.

Account, device and team data

When account or Pro features are enabled, backend services may process information needed to authenticate and provide the service, such as your email address, account identifier, subscription entitlement, device activation identifier, team membership, role, seat assignment and related audit information.

This information is separate from the screenshot image content used in normal local workflows.

Billing information

Payments are handled through the payment service used by RATdeck for Capture. Capture should store only the transaction/subscription references and entitlement information needed to manage access, not raw card credentials. Payment-provider terms and privacy practices also apply when you make a purchase.

Local browser storage

Settings, local projects, history, presentation preferences and related screenshot workflow information may be stored in Chrome local storage and IndexedDB-style browser storage. Removing the extension or clearing browser storage can remove local data.

Retention and deletion

Local screenshot/project content remains under your browser profile unless you delete it or clear the extension/browser data. Account, billing, team and audit records may be retained as reasonably necessary for subscriptions, security, legal obligations and dispute handling.

Your choices

• You can use Free capture/copy/share workflows without uploading screenshot content for normal processing.
• You can delete local screenshot history/projects from the product where those controls are available.
• You can contact RATdeck about account or privacy questions.
• You can uninstall Capture at any time from Chrome.
