Capture by RATdeck is a lightweight Chrome extension (about 241 KB) for full page scrolling screenshots. One click scrolls the page, stitches it into one image and opens it in an editor where you can crop, annotate, blur, copy or save. Capture and editing run locally in your browser.

Install Capture by RATdeck, open the page, and click the Capture icon (or press Ctrl+Shift+1, Command+Shift+1 on Mac). Capture scrolls and stitches the page, then you can copy it or save it as PNG or WebP.

Yes. Open DevTools (Ctrl+Shift+I, or Cmd+Option+I on Mac), open the Command Menu (Ctrl+Shift+P), type "screenshot" and choose "Capture full size screenshot". It saves a PNG to Downloads. It has no editor or blur, takes several steps, and often misses content on pages that scroll inside a panel. Capture does it in one click.

It depends on what you do after capturing. Capture by RATdeck's free plan includes one-click full page capture, crop, annotation, basic blur, unlimited clipboard copy and 10 PNG/WebP downloads per day, with no watermark or ads. It runs locally with minimal permissions. If you need unlimited free downloads or JPG, compare other tools too.

Capture covers the same core job: one-click full page capture with no watermark. Crop, annotation and basic blur are free in Capture, and Pro adds comparison, reports and PDF. Capture saves PNG and WebP (no JPG), and the free plan has a 10-downloads-per-day cap (copy is unlimited). Try it on the pages you capture most.

Capture focuses on fast, local full page capture and review work. It needs no account to capture, has no all-sites permission and never adds a watermark. It does not upload screenshots to a cloud library, does not export JPG and only records the screen as an opt-in Beta. If you need cloud sharing libraries, JPG or a desktop app, those tools may suit you better.

Many tools capture a pinned header or sidebar in every scrolled slice. From version 4.88.0, Capture keeps fixed and sticky elements once instead of copying them into every slice.

Usually the page scrolls inside a panel instead of the window, as in chat apps, dashboards and email clients. From version 4.88.0, Capture finds the scrolling panel, including deeply nested panels and same-origin iframes, and captures through it. Print Screen and Windows+Shift+S only capture the visible screen.

Yes, with a limit. On endless feeds, Capture stops at a safety limit and saves what it captured, with a note in the editor. It does not capture an infinite feed forever.

Images are often lazy-loaded and appear only when scrolled into view. From version 4.88.0, Capture waits briefly at each scroll step for lazy images to load.

Yes. Clean Capture is on by default in version 4.88.0. It hides common cookie, chat and newsletter overlays during capture and restores them afterwards. Pro adds manual hide for anything else.

Long pages work. Captures taller than the browser's safe canvas size (16,384 px per side) are split into parts that you can step through in the editor.

Yes, there is a free plan with no watermark and no ads. It includes Full Page and responsive capture, crop, annotation, basic blur and pixelate, unlimited Copy Image and 10 PNG/WebP downloads per day.

Pro is $3 per month or $12 per year ($1/month, billed annually ($12/year)).

In India, Pro is ₹340 per month or ₹1,359 per year, including 18% GST.

Pro adds Visible Screen and Select Area capture, unlimited downloads, history and projects, custom viewport sizes, before/after comparison, review reports, professional PDF export, numbered callouts, stamps, magnify, emoji, a custom watermark option, presentation mode and a Guide/SOP Builder.

Normal capture, stitching, editing, comparison and export happen locally. Capture uses Chrome's activeTab permission, so it only accesses a page when you start a capture. It does not ask to read all your websites. Account, subscription and quota features use the RATdeck service. The optional Pro Share Link asks for consent before uploading the selected before/after images; links expire after seven days.

activeTab, scripting, clipboardWrite, storage and unlimitedStorage, plus access to RATdeck's own API for account features. Access to local files and the tabs permission are optional and requested only when needed. There is no permission to read every website.

Pro needs an account. Account, subscription and download-quota features use the RATdeck service, while capturing and editing happen locally.

Yes, with Pro. Review reports export a professional PDF that splits long screenshots across readable pages and can combine several screenshots. Pages are images, so the text isn't selectable. On Free, you can save PNG or WebP.

Copy to clipboard, PNG and WebP. JPG export is not offered. Pro adds PDF through review reports.

Yes. Ctrl+Shift+1 captures the full page, Ctrl+Shift+2 the visible screen (Pro) and Ctrl+Shift+3 a selected area (Pro). On Mac, use Command instead of Ctrl. You can change them at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

Yes, with Pro: Select Area captures a region you drag, and Visible Screen captures what is on screen. On Free, capture the full page and crop it in the editor.

Yes. Crop is included in the free editor.

Yes. Free responsive presets capture the page at common phone, tablet and desktop widths. Pro adds custom viewport sizes.

Yes. Blur and pixelate tools hide sensitive details before you copy or export.

Capture is built and listed for desktop Google Chrome (version 102 or later). It is not offered for Firefox or Safari. Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers aren't officially supported or tested.

It works in desktop Chrome on Windows, Mac and Linux. Chrome on iPhone and Android doesn't support extensions, so Capture doesn't work on phones.

Most websites in desktop Chrome, including pages you are logged in to, because it captures what your own browser shows. It cannot capture Chrome-protected pages (chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store), PDFs open in Chrome's viewer, or apps outside Chrome. Local files need the optional file access permission. Incognito works only if you allow it.

Often, yes. These apps scroll inside a panel, and from version 4.88.0 Capture detects and scrolls the inner panel. Very long histories that keep loading stop at the safety limit. Results vary by app, so check the capture before relying on it.

Capture saves an image of what your browser showed. It does not create a certified, timestamped or tamper-proof record, and it doesn't save the page's HTML or a WARC archive. For legal evidence, use a dedicated web-evidence or archiving service.

Yes. Capture full pages at phone, tablet and desktop widths, then mark issues with arrows, text and blur. Pro adds before/after comparison with highlighted visual differences, numbered callouts and multi-screenshot review reports exported as PDF. It does not capture console or network logs.

Yes. Copy Image puts the screenshot on your clipboard (unlimited on Free), ready to paste.

Screen recording is an opt-in Beta that is off until you enable it. Recordings stay on your device, and the microphone is used only if you turn it on.

No. Capture does not do OCR or automatically capture console or network logs.

History and projects are Pro. Pro keeps the last 50 screenshots locally, with one-click "Free up space". The free plan keeps only the last 3 for recovery.

It asks only for activeTab-style access rather than access to all sites, and it processes screenshots locally. The publisher, RATdeck, is listed as a trader on the Chrome Web Store with contact details. You can review its privacy policy at capture.ratdeck.com/privacy.

Yes. A running capture can be cancelled from the progress card (Esc cancels a selection). For subscription cancellation and refunds, see capture.ratdeck.com/refund-cancellation.

Only if you allow Capture in Incognito in Chrome's extension settings. Screenshots made there stay in that window and are removed when it closes.
