Capture by RATdeck is a Chrome extension for full-page screenshots, annotation, comparison, SOP guides and bulk website screenshots. This page lists what is in version 5.3.10 and what is Free or Pro.
In short: Capture by RATdeck captures a full web page, a visible area, a selected area, a scrolling panel or one element, opens it in an annotation editor, and saves unlimited PNG, JPG and WebP for free. Pro ($3/month or $12/year) adds PDF, comparison, share links, SOP guides and bulk capture of up to 100 URLs.
Capture
Full page scrolling screenshots that stitch the whole page; tall pages export as ordered parts with no repeated sticky header. Visible area (Ctrl+Shift+2), Select area (Ctrl+Shift+3), Pick scroll area for panels that scroll on their own, and One element. Responsive capture at 1440, 1280, 768, 430, 390 and 360 px. Optional 3, 5 or 10 second delay, and stop early while keeping what was captured.
Edit and annotate
A full-screen editor with a tool rail: arrow (with curve), line, rectangle, circle, pen, highlighter, text, emoji and stamps, crop, blur and pixelate. Pro adds numbered steps, the magnifier, advanced shapes and stamps, shape opacity, extra fonts and extra blur styles. Light, Dark and Auto themes.
Export and share
Copy to clipboard and download PNG, JPG or WebP, unlimited on Free. Pro adds PDF, with selectable text when the page provides it, and share links that ask for consent before upload, expire after seven days and can be revoked.
Compare and review
Pro: Compare with last capture for before/after checks, a visual difference view, and Desktop vs Mobile side by side. Review reports, professional PDF and presentations with optional branding.
Guides and SOPs
Pro: the Guide / SOP builder turns a series of screenshots into a step-by-step guide with titles, captions and expected results, reordered with Earlier and Later, and exported as PDF.
Bulk capture
Paste a list of URLs and Capture screenshots each one. Free: 3 URLs per batch as a ZIP. Pro: up to 100 URLs per batch, with a ZIP, a combined PDF report and a CSV, saved on your device.
History and privacy
Free keeps the last 5 captures for 24 hours; Pro keeps a history of 50 plus projects. Capture, editing and comparison run locally in Chrome. Permissions are limited to activeTab, scripting, storage, unlimitedStorage and clipboard write.

Version 5.3.10 has been submitted to the Chrome Web Store and is in review; the store may still show an earlier version for a short time. Screen recording is in development and is not part of the current release.

What capture modes does Capture by RATdeck have?
Capture by RATdeck offers Full page, Visible area, Select area, Pick scroll area and One element capture, plus responsive device capture at desktop, laptop, tablet and phone widths. You can add a 3, 5 or 10 second delay, and stop a long capture early while keeping the part that was already taken.
Which annotation tools are free and which are Pro?
In Capture by RATdeck, the free editor includes arrows, lines, shapes, pen, highlighter, text, basic emoji and stamps, crop, and basic blur and pixelate. Pro adds numbered step callouts, the magnifier, advanced shapes and stamps, extra blur styles, shape opacity and extra fonts. Existing marks can be moved, resized and edited.
Is there a daily download limit on the free plan?
No. Capture by RATdeck Free gives unlimited PNG, JPG and WebP downloads with no daily cap and no sign-in required. Copy to clipboard is also unlimited. The only file type reserved for Pro is PDF, along with Pro workflows such as comparison, SOP guides, share links and large bulk batches.
