Mobile view

Screenshot the mobile view from your desktop.

Capture can open a page at a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop width before it takes the screenshot, so the site’s own CSS breakpoints apply. It does not pretend the result came from a physical phone.

How to do it

  1. Open the page in desktop Chrome. Install Capture if it is not there yet.
  2. Reach Responsive Device. A plain toolbar click captures the full page at the current window size. In Settings, turn on the capture menu, or set the default mode to Responsive Device.
  3. Pick a free preset. Small phone is 360×740, Standard phone is 390×844, Large phone is 430×932, Tablet is 768×1024, Laptop is 1280×800 and Desktop is 1440×900. The popup menu lists the phone and tablet targets. The wider presets are in Settings.
  4. Capture. Width stays exact. Chrome may shorten a phone or tablet height so it fits your display. Capture saves both the target size and the actual viewport with the screenshot. A custom exact size is Pro, from 320 to 2560 pixels wide.
  5. Annotate and export. Crop, arrows, text and basic blur are free. Copy is unlimited. PNG and WebP downloads on Free are 10 per UTC day.

What this is not

This is a responsive viewport in desktop Chrome. It does not reproduce a phone’s browser engine, touch behavior, user agent or hardware. Use a real device when the bug depends on those. Capture also does not run on Chrome for iPhone or Android, because those browsers do not support extensions.
