There is no single screenshot shortcut for every Chrome capture job.
The fastest method depends on what you want to capture. A visible viewport, a scrolling webpage, a free-form region and one exact webpage element are different tasks.
Full Page
Use for long webpages. Capture scrolls through the page and stitches the unseen regions into one continuous screenshot.
Select Area
Drag around a custom rectangular region when you need only part of the visible page.
Select Element
Hover and click when you want one exact card, form, dashboard panel, hero, table or other page component.
Responsive capture
Use desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile viewport presets when the screenshot must show how responsive CSS actually renders.

Important: Capture does not currently ship a dedicated global keyboard command for starting a capture. We do not want to publish a fake shortcut just for SEO. Chrome supports managing extension shortcuts for commands that an extension exposes, and a dedicated Capture command can be added later as a real product feature.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Speed should not require uploading your screenshot.
Normal screenshot capture, annotation, crop, blur, pixelate and local export are designed to run on your computer. Using a faster capture workflow does not change that privacy model.
Account and subscription checks are separate from the screenshot image itself. Capture is being designed so normal screenshot content does not need to be sent to RATdeck just to capture or edit it.

What is the Chrome screenshot shortcut?+
There is no single universal shortcut that covers every screenshot workflow in Chrome. Built-in tools and extensions use different methods depending on whether you need the visible viewport, a full scrolling page, a selected region or another capture type.
Does Capture have a keyboard shortcut to start a capture?+
Not in the current build. Capture currently starts from the extension toolbar and remembers the capture mode you last selected. We do not advertise a global capture shortcut until it is actually included in the extension.
What keyboard shortcuts does the Capture editor support?+
When you are not actively typing, Ctrl+C copies the current annotated screenshot. Ctrl+Z performs undo, while Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z performs redo. Normal copy/select behavior remains available inside text fields.
Can Chrome extension keyboard shortcuts be customized?+
Chrome provides a shortcut-management screen for extension commands. Only commands that an extension actually exposes can be assigned there.
What is the fastest way to capture full webpages repeatedly?+
Set Capture to Full Page once. The selected capture mode is remembered, so repeated capture work requires fewer mode-selection steps.
Does using Capture send screenshots to a server?+
